"Another Saturday Night" fu composta da Sam Cooke mentre nel 1962 espletava un tour britannico insieme a Little Richard. E' uno dei suoi pezzi soul più vivaci, ballabili, da affiancare a "Good News", "Having A Party" e "Twistin' The Night Away".

Gli inizi dell'"uomo che inventò il soul" furono specialmente dedicati al gospel (vedi il suo connubio con The Soul Stirrers), e quindi alla musica religiosa; ma Cooke ovviamente non viveva sulla luna e, dopo una serie di vicissitudini, finì per lanciare una ballata politica del peso di "A Change Is Gonna Come" (ispirato dalla dylanesca "Blowin' In The Wind", ma anche dalle proteste per le strade d'America)... e ciò quasi esattamente un anno prima di venire ucciso: nell'Hacienda Motel di Los Angeles.
