Alfa Mist

 Well my real name is actually Alfa. Mist was a name I used for a while in secondary school, no real reason...

 Già da adolescente produttore hip-hop, l'interesse di Alfa Mist per il campionamento lo ha portato a scoprire il jazz e, alla fine, a imparare da solo a suonare il piano, dopo aver visto il suo insegnante di musica eseguire "Ordinary People", di John Legend.

Nato a Newham, East London, Alfa voleva inizialmente diventare calciatore, ma sua madre lo ha costretto a completare il college. Dove ha studiato composizione musicale.

Ha pubblicato il suo primo EP da solista - Nocturne - nel 2015. La sua musica mescola hip-hop e ritmi da club con l'improvvisazione jazz. Nelle sue parole: Dark, alternative jazz with elements of hip-hop and soul.

 Ha collaborato con diversi musicisti, tra i quali Jordan Rakei, Yussef Dayes, Kaya Thomas-Dyke, Emmavie e Tom Misch.

Nel 2021 ha pubblicato un album intitolato Bring Backs per l'etichetta musicale indipendente americana Anti-.

 Si è anche esibito al We Out Here Festival 2021 ed è stato uno dei candidati ai MOBO Awards 2021.
